California: From Golden State to Now being the Dark Chocolate Raisin Cluster State

From Colorado, I am now here at the Golden State of California where raisins, wine, culture, people, tradition and modern lifestyle all meet! The state prides on having rich history, starting from the reign of Queen Califia. Prior to the Spanish occupation in 16th century, California was known for gold and pearls so when the conquistadors found the island in 1535 they found pearls. It was later on found out that California was not an island after all but a peninsula, boasting its 1,100 miles of coastline. However, my intention here is to change California from being the Golden State to the Dark Chocolate Raisin Cluster state. Today, CA is rich in vast terrains of vineyards and plantations for wine, raisin and other fruit products.

I will start my campaign at Los Angeles, the family-friendly city. I look forward to spy on Hollywood celebrities and post their candid pictures online. That’s me speaking on a paparazzi’s point of view. Kidding aside, I wish to visit Universal Studios, CA Science Center, Hollywood and LA’s top-rated beach resorts. Of course, I can’t do this all at once so I will start with the Universal Studios. This is the first time I am going to a theme-park in my country-wide tour, so I’ll take this opportunity to awaken my childhood dreams within. Arriving at universal studios with a VIP pass, I am welcomed with the prominent Universal Globe and gigantic film figures of Shrek, Jurassic Park, Transformers, King Kong and so much more. Ah! The sight of these figures brings so many childhood memories, and now somehow turned into reality. I spent the day experiencing all rides available like the Revenge of the Mummy, Jurassic Park Ride and the Transformers Ride.

The visitors are also surprised by the live shows at the Waterworld: A Live Sea War Spectacular. For a more exhilarating experience, I bravely entered the House of Horrors. I did not go alone because there would be nobody to save me inside if ever I suddenly suffer from heart attack. So, I decided to go with a bunch of teenagers only to witness how some of them shed a tear because of fear and how they scream on top of their lungs.

After the day is over, I spent a few more hours to dine in CityWalk. It is the perfect place for the family and friends to dine and shop items. Despicable Me: Minion Mayhem figures greeted me as I pass by the Hilton Universal City and Sheraton hotel. I thought that these minions might like these Dark Chocolate Raisin Cluster treats as they seem to love sweets and candies in the movie. I ended the day with a good dinner and retired at my hotel room for tomorrow’s another LA tour.
